Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Star Mac O’Keefe Named All-American

Penn State men’s lacrosse star Mac O’Keefe has received third-team All-American honors for his services to the Nittany Lions this spring.

O’Keefe, who set the NCAA’s all-time scoring record last month, had 29 goals on the season to go with six assists. The attackman from Syosset, New York is now a four-time All-American.

The Nittany Lions had an up-and-down season this past year, to say the least. From their overtime win against Michigan to their first-round exit in the Big Ten Tournament against Johns Hopkins, it’s no secret that this past season had its fair share of highs and lows.

Coming into the season, the Nittany Lions were expected to make a deep run akin to their 2019 campaign. But those expectations would ultimately prove to be disappointing when the team finished 4-7 and didn’t make it past a 3-8 Blue Jays squad in the Big Ten Tournament.

After the season was over, O’Keefe was drafted No. 6 overall by Premier Lacrosse League’s Chaos LC. There, he’ll begin his professional career.
