Update, July 5: Christie Valdiserri won’t compete on the upcoming season of “Big Brother” after testing positive for COVID-19, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Original Story: Penn State graduate and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Christie Valdiserri is about to add another title to her growing list of accomplishments: “Big Brother” contestant.

Valdiserri made a name for herself as Sports Illustrated’s first bald model. She was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata shortly after graduating from Penn State, which caused her hair to fall out. After years of hoping that it would grow back in full, she decided to embrace her baldness.
Now, she has modeled in several different publications and shows, proving that being different doesn’t make you any less beautiful. She has also worked with the Children’s Alopecia Project and even went to an event called “Alopeciapalooza” to serve as a mentor for kids who have Alopecia.
The new season of Big Brother will have some immediate twists that Valdiserri will need to work through when she finally enters the house. The early part of the season will feature teams, something that has been done only twice in the show’s history.
You can watch Valdiserri hopefully bring home the crown starting at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7.
