Four-Star Defensive End Tyreese Fearbry Commits To Penn State Football
Commitment SZN is in full effect, folks.
Penn State football just picked up another recruit in four-star defensive end Tyreese Fearbry. This is now the second recruit James Franklin has landed Sunday and the fourth he’s secured in the past three days.
The Pittsburgh native selected Penn State over Pitt, Auburn, and Kentucky, among others. The 6’5″, 210-pound prospect is pegged as an edge rusher by 247Sports, but his Instagram bio says he can play wide receiver, tight end, and basketball as well.
Fearbry totalled 29 tackles and five sacks in just five games during his junior high school campaign, according to MaxPreps. He attends Perry Traditional Academy in Pittsburgh.
Fearbry is the No. 8 prospect in Pennsylvania and the No. 12 edge rusher in the country, according to 247Sports. After Zane Durant‘s commitment this afternoon, Fearbry is now the ninth four-star recruit to join Penn State’s 2022 class.
The Nittany Lions still hold the No. 2 recruiting class in the Big Ten and have moved up to No. 7 in the nation.
