Three-Star Cornerback Jordan Allen Commits To Penn State Football

Make it eight July commitments for Penn State football’s Class of 2022.

Three-star Louisiana cornerback Jordan Allen announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions Saturday afternoon. He picked James Franklin’s program over 41 other offers, including looks from Miami, Louisville, and Michigan.

The 6’0″, 182-pound defender is ranked as the No. 23 prospect out of his home state and the No. 34 defensive back in the nation, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. Allen also played safety during his junior season at Lafayette Christian Academy this past fall and helped lead his group to a state title.

Allen is the second defensive back to join this deep Penn State class, now joining Lackawanna transfer Tyrece Mills in the 2022 group.

With Allen’s commitment and Kaytron Allen’s Friday afternoon, the Nittany Lions now once again have the No. 2 2022 recruiting class in the nation, according to 247Sports. Ohio State sits at No. 1 with 17 commits, but Penn State now has 20 prospects committed to the Class of 2022.
