Penn State To Host Second Free COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Starting July 26

Penn State will host a second free COVID-19 vaccine clinic for students this summer to encourage vaccinations ahead of the fall semester.

Students can receive the first dose of the Moderna vaccine from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 26 and 27 in the HUB’s Alumni Hall. Any student receiving the vaccine must schedule an appointment through myUHS ahead of time. Follow-up appointments for the second dose will be scheduled and administered at a later date at the Student Health Center.

The university’s summer vaccine clinics are free for students. However, they’re still encouraged to bring their insurance cards and Penn State IDs when they arrive at the clinic. UHS could still bill students for additional administration fees.

Penn State is encouraging students to complete an anonymous survey regarding their current COVID-19 vaccination status or potential plans to get vaccinated before the fall semester begins. Students received an email with a link on July 7 to the optional survey that should take about two minutes to complete.

Any fully vaccinated Penn State student is eligible for weekly drawings for a number of incentives and bonuses, including $1,000 payments, Barnes & Noble gift cards, and footballs signed by James Franklin. To enter, students must upload vaccine information through myUHS and fill out an online opt-in form.
