Four-Star Defensive Lineman Dani Dennis-Sutton Commits To Penn State Football

Penn State football’s Class of 2022 just continues to get stronger.

Four-star defensive lineman Dani Dennis-Sutton announced via the CBS Sports HQ Livestream Thursday that he’s committing to James Franklin’s program over Alabama and Georgia, among others.

Dennis-Sutton plays his high school ball at McDonogh High School in Owings Mills, Maryland. Through two seasons, the 6’5″, 250-pounder has totaled 34 tackles and two sacks in 11 games played, according to his MaxPreps profile.

According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Dennis-Sutton is ranked as the No. 50 prospect in the nation, as well as the best player in Maryland and the ninth-best defensive lineman in the country. Dennis-Sutton is the 22nd player to join the Nittany Lions this cycle, and he’s not only the highest-ranked defensive player to join the class, but the overall highest-ranked prospect.

With Dennis-Sutton’s commitment, Penn State now has 12 four-star recruits in its 2022 class, which is already six more than it had in its 2021 class. Additionally, the Nittany Lions currently own the second-highest ranked 2022 class in the nation, trailing only Ohio State.

Staff Predictions: No. 4 Penn State vs. Minnesota
