THON To Host Hybrid 5K Run October 10

Penn Staters in State College and across the globe can mark their calendars for this year’s THON 5K on Sunday, October 10.

After hosting a purely virtual event last year, THON is offering the option to register in person or online for the 5K run.

Registration for the in-person event starts at $10. Runners can upgrade to buy t-shirts and runner’s boxes for up to $60, the latter of which contain a bundle of gear from the THON online store.

Participants will be sent an email containing a digital waiver to sign upon registration.

Runners who choose to register for the virtual 5K will need to set up a THON DonorDrive account, find or create a team, and choose a fundraising goal. Detailed instructions on registering for the virtual run can be found here.

Similar to last year’s run, THON is offering the virtual participants a free 5K training calendar to help runners get in shape. 5K course maps for State College, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Erie, Charlotte, and Houston, are also available.
