Former Penn State Football Offensive Lineman Michal Menet Released By Arizona Cardinals

Former Penn State football offensive lineman Michal Menet has been released by the Cardinals, the team announced Monday.

Menet was one of ten players released by the team on Monday as the Cardinals start to cut down their roster to 53 players ahead of the regular season.

Menet was drafted by the Cardinals in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft but wasn’t able to find a good fit on the team’s roster, as he didn’t see much playing time during the preseason.

The Pennsylvania native spent five years in Happy Valley after coming in as a four-star recruit in 2016. Menet totaled 34 starts throughout his Penn State career, including nine starts during his senior season in which he was named team captain. Coming into the program nearly five years ago, Menet also helped pave the way for Penn State’s talented running back room that once included Saquon Barkley and Miles Sanders.

Menet earned Third-Team All-Big Ten honors and a spot in the Senior Bowl after his performance in his final campaign.
