Penn State Learning’s Tutoring Services Begin August 29

Penn State Learning’s free tutoring services officially began for the Fall semester on Sunday, August 29. Included in the free tutoring services are writing tutoring, language tutoring, and math tutoring.

Writing tutoring is offered in 220A Boucke Building in addition to remote sessions. Both can be scheduled using Starfish.

Writing tutoring hours are as follows:

  • Monday through Thursday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. appointment only; 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. for walk in tutoring
  • Friday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. available by appointment only
  • Sunday: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. walk-in hours only
  • Remote appointments available Sunday through Thursday 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Also available is The Search Bar at Sidewater Commons/W102 Pattee Library. The Search Bar offers writing tutoring, as well as assistance in research and understanding library services.

The Search Bar is available as follows:

  • Monday through Thursday: 12 p.m. until 10 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Saturday: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Language tutoring is also located in 220A Boucke Building, available by appointment via Starfish. Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Russian tutoring is available.

Math tutoring, available for Math 004 through Math 141, is available at 7 Sparks Building by appointment or through walk-ins.

Math tutoring hours are as follows:

  • Monday through Thursday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sunday: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Math 220 through Math 251 tutoring is available at 7A Sparks Building on Sundays from only 6. p.m. to 10 p.m.
