Sean Clifford To Donate All Cameo Proceeds To Big Brothers Big Sisters Of America
Penn State football quarterback and three-time captain Sean Clifford is already using his newfound compensation to his full advantage.
The veteran signal-caller announced via Twitter earlier this week that he’ll donate all of this season’s Cameo proceeds to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
“I think that the Big Brother Big Sister Program is one of the best in the country…” Clifford said. “Now, I ask you to take part in what I’ve been a part of for years now.”
Clifford has been on Cameo for about two months. The platform allows fans to pay him for shoutouts for birthdays, special occasions, and just about anything else. College athletes weren’t allowed to profit off their likeness until name, image, and likeness compensation rules were legalized in June, but Clifford is now the seventh-most booked NCAA student-athlete on Cameo, according to Brandon Marcello of 247Sports.
Clifford sits just behind Rutgers men’s basketball star Geo Baker and Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler in the latest rankings.
The Cincinnati native explained that he’s been involved with Brothers and Sisters of America for several years. It’s a non-profit organization in which adult volunteers are matched with children for a “one-to-one mentoring” relationship.
