Penn State Quarterback Commit Drew Allar Shines In Recent High School Game

Penn State quarterback commit Drew Allar turned some heads this weekend as he threw for 523 yards and five touchdowns to help Medina High School over Stow-Munroe Falls High School in a 38-27 win.

Allar broke the single-game passing record for the most yards in a high school football game in his home county.

Allar, who is an Elite 11 quarterback alum, hails from Medina, Ohio, and is ranked a four-star recruit. He committed to Penn State’s Class of 2022 last March. Currently, he remains the highest-rated quarterback recruit in the James Franklin era.

The Ohio native threw for 2,962 passing yards and 26 touchdowns in 2020. Before picking the Nittany Lions, Allar also received offers from other top programs in the country, including Notre Dame, Michigan, Iowa, and Ohio State.
