Penn State Releases College GameDay, White Out Parking Info

ESPN’s College GameDay will officially air from Old Main Lawn this weekend, and with it comes a number of parking and traffic changes across campus.

Pollock Road will be closed between Fraser Road and Henderson Drive from 5 p.m. Tuesday through 6 p.m. Saturday. On Saturday, the closure will extend from Burrowes Road to Shortlidge Road.

Additionally, Old Main’s parking lot, as well as Brown C, will close from 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday as ESPN’s production teams begin setting up for the show. Permit holders who usually park there will be reassigned behind Willard Building. Overflow for Brown A permit holders will head up to the Nittany Deck.

Beaver Stadium’s parking lots will open at 8 a.m. on Saturday for fans heading to see College GameDay. Students and fans with Beaver Stadium parking permits are encouraged to walk to Old Main or take the White Loop or Blue Loop.

Gameday parking is also available at a few parking decks around campus:

  • East, HUB, and Nittany decks – $40 (payable by credit card upon exiting at pay-on-foot or in-lane machines)
  • Eisenhower Deck – $40 (cash only paid upon entering)
  • West Deck – $25 (payable by credit card upon exiting at pay-on-foot or in-lane machines)

Last year, College GameDay aired from Beaver Stadium’s concourse. In 2019, it came to us live from the HUB Lawn following a few years at Old Main Lawn.

More comprehensive information on campus parking and traffic this weekend, including gameday traffic patterns and restrictions, is available on this page.
