Penn State men’s basketball has added three walk-ons to its roster ahead of the upcoming 2021-22 season.

Dan Conlan, Ishaan Jagiasi, and Kaylen Oweh — brother of former Penn State football star Odafe Oweh — will make their Nittany Lion debuts this season alongside new head coach Micah Shrewsberry.

Dan Colan, the new #15 for the Nittany Lions, is a 6’4″ junior guard from Sewickley, Pa., and the son of two Penn State alumni. Colan played high school ball at Quaker Valley High School. He had a notable high school career as the fifth-highest scorer in school history with 1,252 career points. Colan played one season at Dickinson College, and as a freshman, averaged 17.8 minutes, 6.0 points, and 1.9 rebounds per game.

Ishaan Jagiasi is a 6’1″ Junior guard from West Virginia. Jagiasi attended Huntington Prep, the same notable high school that produced NBA stars like Miles Bridges and Andrew Wiggins. Jagiasi is an impressive student-athlete, finishing with a 3.9 GPA the same year he led his team to a 21-5 record and national ranking.

Kaylen Oweh is a 6’2″ guard from North Brunswick, N.J. Oweh played high school ball at Rutgers Prep, where he was a senior caption, leading his team from the start to an 80-34 over four years. Over the course of his high school career, Oweh put up an impressive stat-line of 700 points, 250 rebounds, 110 assists, and 80 steals. Oweh played one year of college hoops at St. Thomas Aquinas College before entering the transfer portal.

The Nittany Lions open their season at the Bryce Jordan Center on Wednesday, November 10, against Youngstown State.
