Submit Your New Gen Ed Course Ideas

Have a suggestion for a new course at Penn State? Students can now submit their ideas for new general education courses and turn those dreams into a reality.

The Office of General Education is now accepting students’ ideas for new courses that could count toward general education credits until Thursday, September 30.

Students can fill out this form, detailing their ideas for a proposed course. Be sure to explain how the course would benefit the Penn State student population and how it would fit specific gen ed requirements.

Students can also check the university bulletin to make sure that their proposed gen ed doesn’t already exist. Once you submit your idea, the Office of General Education will work with Penn State faculty to develop the new courses based on the chosen proposals.

From there, students have the option to collaborate with faculty throughout the process, although student participation is not mandatory.
