‘Something Is Missing’: Penn State Edition

As I’m sure many students around campus agree, Penn State has a beautiful campus. The green, open spaces, historic buildings, and tree-lined roads frame iconic vistas of our favorite university. But what if things were just a little bit off one day?

Taking inspiration from this popular Twitter account, let’s take a photo tour around campus and see what seems to be looking a little bit ~off.~

Take a stroll down Old Main lawn around sunset. Enjoy the warm fall air while it lasts and soak in golden hour in front of campus’s most iconic, clocktower-less building.

Round the corner and head toward Sackett Building. Don’t let your mind fool you. There was never anything on this patch of lawn. It’s always looked like this, and it probably always will.

Heading downtown, we can investigate this downed tree while taking in the quaint skyline of Downtown State College. Nothing like a small town, huh?

And of course, it wouldn’t be a trip to Penn State without a visit to Beaver Stadium. Football is the lifeblood of student energy here on campus, so, of course, we have to take a look at one of the nicest college football stadiums.

Catch up with totally normal-looking coach James Franklin at a press conference to check in on Penn State football. Don’t look at his face for too long. We promise everything is completely normal.

Lastly, reminisce on one of Penn State’s best football plays in the last decade. At least, we think it was. Something seems off about the way they’re lined up, but hopefully, the play still goes well.
