Two Pairs Of Former Penn State Stars Swap Jerseys In NFL’s Week Four

Penn State is tied for the eighth-most former players on NFL rosters, and the bonds in the league are more fruitful than ever. More games than not are going to feature former Nittany Lions facing off, and this past week was no different.

Two pairs of Penn Staters swapped jerseys this week. The first being the lynchpins of Penn State’s front-seven in 2019, Micah Parsons and Yetur Gross-Matos.

Parsons and the Cowboys got the best of Gross-Matos’ Panthers, spoiling their undefeated start to the season with a 36-28 win. Parsons contributed four tackles, a sack, and tackle-for-loss, while Gross-Matos remains sidelined with an ankle injury.

In the later window, another jersey swap went down between two of Penn State’s most renowned safeties in recent memory.

The Packers’ Adrian Amos and the Steelers’ Marcus Allen performed the swap following Green Bay’s 27-17 win over Pittsburgh on Sunday. Amos totaled five tackles to help his team secure the victory, while Allen served as a backup.

The dynamic duo at the safety position shared the field together in 2014 before Amos went on to be drafted in the fifth round by the Chicago Bears. Allen held down the fort until he was drafted in the fifth round himself in 2018.
