[Photo Story] 2021 Allen Street Jam

After last year’s mostly virtual Homecoming, folks gathered downtown for the Allen Street Jam to kick off this year’s celebration. Although it was a bit chilly, that didn’t stop community members from engaging in the activities, listening to music, and eating free food.

Throughout the day, some of our photographers captured all the hustle and bustle happening on Allen Street.

Several musicians performed throughout the day, playing favorites like “Sweet Home Alabama”. Students enjoyed dancing to the live music.

Students were also able to vote for Homecoming Court.

Other activities included painting, corn hole, Jenga, making custom signs, a raffle for a free hammock, free caricatures, and more.

Folks enjoyed free food such as subs, snow cones, and popcorn.

Needless to say, this year’s Allen Street Jam was a smashing success. Luckily, it’s just the beginning of a busy Homecoming week!
