Penn State Student Killed In Fatal Crash On Blue Course Drive

A Penn State student was killed in a fatal car crash at the intersection of Blue Course Drive and Westerly Parkway, according to a Ferguson Township Police news release.

The crash, which involved a car and a motorcycle, occurred on September 11 around 8:46 p.m. The Ferguson Township Police’s initial investigation found that the motorcycle was stopped at the intersection when a northbound Hyundai Elantra struck it from behind.

The motorcycle’s driver, Rashid Alnuwaymi, who is listed as an undergraduate student in the Penn State student directory, was later flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Williamsport.

He was pronounced neurologically deceased despite life-saving efforts.

The crash remains under investigation.
