New York, Nashville, & Vegas Lead Penn State Bowl Destination Projections

Following a much-needed win over Rutgers, Penn State is one step closer toward another bowl game. While the chances of a New Year’s Six berth are slim at best, a win over Michigan State this weekend could push the Nittany Lions into some a-OK matchups.

With just one game left in the season, let’s see where experts have the Nittany Lions playing in the postseason.

CBS Sports analyst Jerry Palm predicts Penn State taking on the Missouri Tigers in the Music City Bowl in Nashville, Tennessee. Yahoo! Sports thinks that these two teams will play each other, too. ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura also feels that the Nittany Lions will play in the Music City Bowl but face a very talented Arkansas team.

247Sports predicts that the Nittany Lions will play Arizona State in the Las Vegas Bowl. Brett McMurphy of The Action Network also has Penn State playing in the Las Vegas Bowl, but he has them squaring off against the UCLA Bruins.

Joe Broback of the Pro Football Network has Penn State taking on the North Carolina Tar Heels at the Pinstripe Bowl in New York City. College Football News and ESPN reporter Mark Schlabach also has Penn State playing in the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium but against the Virginia Cavaliers.

Regardless of next weekend’s outcome for Penn State, we’ll need to wait a few weeks to find out where the Nittany Lions are going bowling. For now, New York, Nashville, and Las Vegas seem like the most likely destinations.
