A Penn Stater’s Guide To 2021 Holiday Shopping

Well, folks, it’s finally time to frantically find the perfect gift for all of the Nittany Lions in your life! The problem is, what do you get them?

For starters, you can look at last year’s guide to get a good idea of what was out there this time last year. But, there is plenty of new stuff out there, and we’ll try and give you all the details on the hot new items to buy this season.

We hope that we can make your holiday shopping go a little smoother this year. Enjoy!

For The James Franklin Stan …

James Franklin recently got a major new contract that could lock him in for 10 more years in Happy Valley. There are plenty of people out there who may not be fans of the decision, but for those who are, do we have a gift for you! These socks will let everyone know that you support your team and your coach, and no one can question that.

For The Newlyweds…

First off, if you or someone you know got married recently, congratulations! We hope for a long-lasting love for the happy couple!

But, it can’t be a Penn State wedding if you don’t have a Penn State-themed wedding cake topper! Luckily for you, we got the topper right here. It’s even football-themed, so you know it is in the right spirit.

For The Penn State Football Historian…

If you’re a football fan and a history fan, this is the gift for you. The story of the Nittany Lions told through The Washington Post archives is a great gift, especially for the older Nittany Lions fans in your life.

Is it expensive? Yes, it is. But, it is a really thoughtful gift that can also be personalized. It would really impress the recipient, and you’ll be the best gift-giver in the family (at least for the year).

For The Musically Inclined…

We aren’t going to lie, this speaker looks dope. A Bluetooth portable speaker that has the Nittany Lion plastered on the front is pretty cool. The recipient would be royalty at all the tailgates you go to!

It lasts for five hours per charge, and it has LED lights built into the speaker. So, if you want to impress everyone with this cool speaker, get it for your friend who you know will take you to their tailgates. It’s a win-win.

For The Animal Lover…

One of the more underrated parts about Penn State is the nature that you can find on campus. So, why not give a nature-themed gift to your Nittany Lion loved one? This bird feeder would be very stylish in any backyard.

For The Starbucks Obsessed…

This cup is super trendy. Imagine rolling up to Starbucks with not just a reusable cup, but a reusable Penn State-themed cup! No one would be able to top that. If you have a friend who works at a Starbucks in State College or on campus, this might be a great choice for them.

For The Person Who Decorates For Christmas In October…

We think every Christmas and Nittany Lion fan out there needs to have one of these stockings. The Penn State design is very fun, and the fact that you get to customize it and put a name on it really makes it unique. It is a fun way to get into the Christmas spirit!

For The Newborn Who Needs To Establish Team Loyalty…

You know what they say: You have to start them young! This is a great gift for any baby out there to really establish who they should (or shouldn’t) be supporting. It’ll be a great story they can tell in the future to show they were quite literally born a Nittany Lion fan.
