Three-Star Offensive Lineman Joshua Miller Commits To Penn State

James Franklin added a fifth verbal commitment to his recruiting class of 2023 Monday morning.

Three-star offensive lineman Joshua Miller announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions via Twitter.

The Colonial Heights, Virginia native is the third prospect from his home state to commit to the Class of 2023. He joins five-star offensive lineman Alex Birchmeier, the highest ranked player in the group, and tight end Mathias Barnwell. The rest of the group is made up of Pennsylvania natives Lamont Payne and Joey Schlaffer.

Miller has racked up 14 total scholarship offers up to this point, and picked Franklin’s program over the likes of Clemson, Michigan State, and Pitt. According to 247Sports, the 6’5″, 320-pounder is considered the No. 30 interior offensive lineman in the nation and the No. 8 prospect coming out of Virginia.

This commitment helps give Penn State the No. 1 2023 recruiting class in the Big Ten and the No. 3 group in the nation. Franklin just locked up a 2022 group that’s considered No. 6 in the nation.

Miller just finished up his junior season at Life Christian Academy in South Chesterfield. Check out his highlights from that year here.
