Penn State Hoops-Minnesota Postponed Due To Gophers’ COVID-19 Cases

Penn State men’s basketball’s January 19 home matchup against Minnesota has been postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests within the Gophers’ program, the team announced Tuesday afternoon.

“The health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, staff, and the broader community are of the utmost importance,” Penn State said in a statement.

Penn State and Minnesota are expected to work with the Big Ten to try and reschedule the game. Ticket holders will be notified of their options once the game is either rescheduled or outright canceled.

Should the season get back on track, the Nittany Lions will next face Iowa at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, on the Big Ten Network.
