THON Rolls Out ‘Supply The Fight’ Collection Drive For Essential Items

This semester, THON has launched a new collection drive for essential items, dubbed “Supply The Fight,” in the lead-up to its annual dance marathon next month.

THON has published a full list of requested products on Amazon, including children’s books, arts and crafts materials, and disinfectants. Donations will benefit THON organizations and even grant points toward a THON-wide competition.

According to THON’s website, the items “are crucial to THON’s success but are often hard to obtain through donations.” The organization said that the collection drive will reduce overhead costs so that 96% of raised funds can go toward its goal.

Each item donation is worth a certain number of THON points. Supporters are entered into a prize raffle for every 50 points they earn, and prizes vary by supporters’ relations to the organization. Alumni have a chance to win throwback merchandise, while THON members could receive priority access to the Bryce Jordan Center for their organizations. Winners will be announced on January 28.

Those interested in donating can visit THON’s official website for more information.
