LEAP Mentor Applications Open For Summer 2022

It’s that time of year again, folks! Penn State’s Learning Edge Advantage Program (LEAP) is searching for student mentors to help mentor incoming freshmen participating in Summer Session II transition from high school to college.

Mentors will work with about two dozen mentees through both social and academic programs. Incoming first-years will learn more about campus resources within their new State College community through the programs led by mentors. Summer Session II will take place from June 27 to August 12 after mandatory training from June 21 to 24.

The application can be found here before it closes on February 11. Group interviews will follow on February 25 and 26.

Virtual information sessions about LEAP will be held at 7 p.m. on January 26 and 6 p.m. on February 7. Registration can be found here.
