Penn State Women’s Soccer Releases Spring Season Schedule

Penn State women’s soccer announced its schedule Thursday afternoon for the upcoming spring season.

Erica Dambach’s squad will participate in five exhibition matches between February 26 and April 15, three of which will take place in State College.

The Nittany Lions will open the season against Pitt at Hobula Hall on Saturday, February 26. The team will then head south for two consecutive road games. First, Penn State will face Georgetown on Sunday, March 20 followed by a match with West Virginia on Saturday, April 2.

Penn State will finish its short spring season by hosting two opponents from the Patriot League Conference at Jeffery Field. First, the Nittany Lions will face Lehigh on Saturday, April 9. They will close out the season on Friday, April 15 with their match against Bucknell.

Penn State finished the 2021 season with a 12-8-1 record, beating Monmouth and USC in the NCAA Tournament before making a third-round exit with a loss to South Carolina. This was the fifth consecutive season the team made it to the Sweet 16.
