State College Municipal Building Lights Up To Support Ukraine

The State College Municipal Building is currently lit up with the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

The building now features blue and gold lights to recognize those in the State College community and around the world who are affected by the conflict in eastern Europe. The borough revealed the colorful display on Twitter Monday night.

The borough is the latest local establishment to show support for Ukraine after Russia launched a full-scale invasion of the territory late last week.

Penn State President Eric Barron released a statement early Monday to voice support for those affected by the conflict.

Last Thursday, students and community members rallied in front of the Allen Street Gates in order to show support for Ukraine. The Penn State Ukrainian Society will hold a similar event at Old Main on Thursday.
