UHS, Vaccinate America To Hold ‘Vaxx Faxx’ Pandemic Q&A Session March 30
Penn State’s University Health Services (UHS) will host a joint Q&A session with Vaccinate America this week to “raise and promote public health awareness.”
The hour-long event, “Vaxx Faxx,” is set to take place on Wednesday, March 30 at 6 p.m. Those interested in attending can head to the Freeman Auditorium in the HUB or join via Zoom.
Attendees are encouraged to submit questions about vaccines, mental health, health disparities, case management, and more through an online form.
The panel will include Dr. Dara Kass, Matthew Ferrari, Valerie Fulton, and Kara Krebs.
Kass is an emergency medicine physician and regional director of the United States Department of Health and Human Services. She has experience communicating on equity, health care access, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ferrari is the director of Penn State’s Center for Infectious Disease Dynamics and a biology professor. He’s been Penn State’s go-to expert on all things COVID-19 and was regularly called upon to explain the pandemic during university-wide town halls.
Additionally, Fulton is a Penn State infectious disease registered nurse, while Krebs is a UHS case manager.
