Report: Penn State Men’s Hockey’s Oskar Autio To Transfer To Vermont
After four years in Happy Valley, Penn State men’s hockey goalie Oskar Autio will reportedly transfer to Vermont for the upcoming season, according to college hockey reporter Brad Elliott Schlossman.
Autio’s reported transfer comes after he lost the Nittany Lions’ starting goalie gig to Liam Souliere, who anchored Penn State between the pipes throughout this season’s Big Ten Tournament run.
Autio, an Espoo, Finland, native, played in 49 games over the course of his career with Penn State, including 23 matchups during the 2021-22 season. This winter, Autio registered a .893 save percentage — just below the .897 mark he averaged throughout his Nittany Lions career.
