April 28 ‘Night Of Remembrance’ Vigil To Honor Students Who Passed Away

Penn State will host its annual Night of Remembrance at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, to honor students who passed away during the 2021-22 academic year.

The vigil, which takes place at the Old Main steps, will include memories, stories, and messages of hope to celebrate the lives of those who died. Attendees will receive candles, and the service will provide a space for the community to grieve, reflect, and remember. Guests will have the opportunity to speak, too.

Additionally, those who would like to submit messages for the vigil can fill out this form. Some remarks will be read out loud, while others will be posted to a digital platform for the rest of the Penn State community to read.

The Night of Remembrance is organized by student governments across Penn State, including the University Park Undergraduate Association, the Graduate and Professional Student Association, the Council of Commonwealth Student Governments, and the World Campus Student Government Association.
