Penn State To Pause COVID-19 Testing After May 13

Just over a month after moving the on-campus COVID-19 testing center, Penn State has announced that the clinic will pause operations.

Following Friday, May 13, the COVID-19 testing center located at 101 N. Atherton Street will no longer be providing tests for students and employees for the time being.

COVID-19 testing will remain available for symptomatic students by scheduling an appointment with University Health Services.

Penn State is urging employees who are experiencing symptoms to stay home and get tested through their personal health care providers.

“It is important for everyone to stay aware of COVID-19 conditions and continue to take precautions to avoid contact with the virus,” the director of Penn State’s COVID-19 Operations Control Center (COCC), Kelly Wolgast, said. She also noted that the most important thing individuals can do to protect themselves from the virus is to be vaccinated.
