[Photo Story] State College Comes Together For Pride Month Celebration

On Saturday, June 11, hundreds of State College community members gathered in honor of Pride Month. This was the second annual State College Pride event hosted by Centre LGBTQA Support Network, the State College Borough, 3 Dots Downtown, and the Downtown State College Improvement District.

Proud members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies strutted down a parade route in downtown State College. Decorated vehicles, bikes, and roller skates were common modes of transportation for the parade.

Many local businesses, organizations, and state representatives expressed their support through decorated signs, confetti poppers, and chants.

There were many encouraging signs with positive messages, creating a prideful, loving environment.

The parade route was full of supportive parents and their children walking or watching the festivities.
