Libero Ava Falduto Commits To Penn State Women’s Volleyball
Penn State women’s volleyball head coach Katie Schumacher-Cawley picked up a noteworthy commitment to her 2024 recruiting class on Sunday.
Ava Falduto announced her commitment to the Nittany Lions via Twitter, expressing excitement and gratitude.
Falduto, a rising high school junior, hails from Elmhurst, Illinois, and competes for her high school, IC Catholic Prep, as well as New Wave Volleyball Club. The 5’7″ libero is ranked as the No. 39 recruiting prospect in the Class of 2024, according to Prep Dig.
Schumacher-Cawley continues to build the Penn State volleyball program with high-profile recruits such as Falduto, in addition to earning several off-season transfers in her first year at the helm. Transfers Seleisa Elisaia, Zoe Weatherington, Taylor Trammel, and Kashuana Williams each announced their commitments to Penn State within the past several months.
While Falduto isn’t set to take the court for another two years, the Nittany Lions will begin their 2022 conference season against Indiana on Friday, September 23 at Rec Hall.
