THON 2023 Fundraising Window Opens July 1 With ‘Ignite The Fight’ Campaign

THON 2023 will kick off its fundraising window on Friday, July 1, with its second annual “Ignite the Fight” campaign. THON will unveil multiple fundraising challenges on its Instagram, and any money fundraised between July 1 and THON Weekend will go toward THON 2023’s grand total.

THON 2023 will take place from Friday, February 17, to Sunday, February 19.

“Marking the opening of the THON 2023 fundraising window, ‘Ignite the Fight’ celebrates members of the THON Community taking their first stand of the year in the fight against childhood cancer,” THON wrote in a release. “To celebrate the occasion, THON will unveil multiple fundraising challenges on the @PennStateTHON Instagram account that allows supporters to enter lotteries and credit an organization of their choice.”

Four main challenges will celebrate the event. On July 1, some sort of “social media challenge” will be announced on THON’s Instagram that will provide instructions on how to earn credit for your organization.

Between July 1 at midnight and July 3 at 8 p.m., each individual who downloads the DonorDrive app will be entered into a lottery to win $100 for their THON organization. Additionally, each individual who receives a donation credited to their organization during this time will also have the chance to win $100 for their THON org as part of the “THON Nation” challenge.

Every person who registers for an alternative fundraiser during that time will also be entered into the lottery for a chance to win $100 for their org.

The 46-hour dance marathon made its in-person return to the BJC for THON 2022 after operating under a completely virtual format the prior year. THON 2022 raised a record-setting $13,756,374.50 all For The Kids.
