Fall 2022, Spring 2023 Student Parking Registration To Open August 16

Penn State’s student parking registration for the fall 2022 and spring 2023 semesters will open online from August 16 to August 18, the university announced in a release.

The registration schedule for students is as follows:

  • 12 p.m. Tuesday, August 16 (Off-campus student Commuter – SCR)
  • 12 p.m. Wednesday, August 17 (Off-campus long-term storage – P43, YAS)
  • 12 p.m. Thursday, August 18 (Resident student permits – B11, L22, L42, L81, L82, L83, NDS (formerly YWH), YAS)

In order to register for a parking spot, students must have a valid Penn State ID, an active Access account, and have completed at least 29.1 credits, with the exception of graduate and commuter students. They’ll also need to provide license plate numbers and ownership information for their cars when registering.

The vehicles being registered must be owned by the student or a member of the student’s immediate family.

This fall, West Halls student parking permits at Nittany Deck have changed from YWH to NDS, however, eligibility and access remain the same.

Additionally, Brown 11 parking permits for White Course Apartment residents will now need to be purchased, as permits are no longer included in the lease.

After registration, students should print out a temporary permit to display on their dashboard until the official pass arrives in the mail. When it arrives, students should display the permit on the vehicle’s rear-view mirror.
