Penn State Hoops Releases Full 2022-23 Non-Conference Schedule

Penn State men’s basketball announced its non-conference schedule for the 2022-23 season. After bringing in the highest recruiting class in program history, fans will be excited to see the team take on exciting non-conference opponents, like Butler and Clemson.

Penn State opens its non-conference schedule against Winthrop, a program that made the NCAA Tournament as recently as 2021.

After games against Loyola Maryland and a historic Butler program, the Nittany Lions will compete in the Charleston Classic tournament, opening against Furman before playing either Old Dominion or Virginia Tech on November 18.

Following the Charleston Classic, Penn State will take on Lafayette and Canisius at home. In between those two games, the Nittany Lions will take on Clemson in the annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge, which has the potential to be Penn State’s second ACC opponent of the season if the teams plays Virginia Tech in the Charleston Classic.

For their final two non-conference games, the Nittany Lions will play games against Delaware State and Quinnipiac, two teams the Nittany Lions were scheduled to play last year before the games were canceled due to positive COVID-19 tests.

Penn State opens its season against Winthrop on November 7.
