Penn State Merch Sets Homefield’s ‘Big New Saturday’ Sales Record

Penn Staters everywhere couldn’t wait to get their hands on Homefield’s officially licensed Penn State merchandise. So much so, that Nittany Nation helped break the sales record for Homefield’s “Big New Saturday” drop, a day when the company launches apparel for a new school.

Every “Big New Saturday,” Homefield tracks each school’s sales to compare to its previous launches. Florida previously held the top spot, but Penn State edged out the Gators just before 9 p.m., three hours before the day was even over. Before that, it took only 30 minutes for Penn State to crack the top 10 and three hours to get into the top three, according to Homefield.

After folks were pleading for Penn State Athletics to give Homefield the “ok” to produce merch, the iconic clothing company announced that it would officially add Penn State merchandise to its online store last week. It certainly met with excitement among fans.

The Penn State collection consists of 15 products, such as t-shirts, hoodies, crewnecks, and a tank top. Fans interested in getting some new apparel from the line can find it here on Homefield’s website.
