David Taylor To Serve As 2022 Homecoming Grand Marshal

Nittany Lion wrestling great David Taylor will serve as Penn State Homecoming’s 2022 grand marshal, the organization announced at the annual “Be A Part From The Start” pep rally Sunday night.

Taylor established himself as one of the best wrestlers in program history during his Penn State career, as he became a two-time NCAA title winner, four-time All-American, and a two-time Hodge Trophy winner, among other accolades.

After his career at Penn State, “The Magic Man” made history in 2021 by becoming the first Nittany Lion to win a gold medal in wrestling. Most recently, Taylor partnered with sports merchandise company FOCO to produce an exclusive line of bobbleheads.

Homecoming 2022 will kick off on Sunday, October 16, and conclude with the Nittany Lions’ White Out matchup against Minnesota on October 22. The game is slated for 7:30 p.m. at Beaver Stadium.

The event’s theme, “One Community, Forever A Home,” was announced during THON 2022. Its logo was revealed at this year’s Blue-White game.
