Penn State Hoops Unveils New Home Uniform
Penn State men’s basketball unveiled a new home uniform Tuesday afternoon with a video posted to its social media accounts.
This comes after the team teased the release of new uniforms back in May. The home whites are the first of three news uniforms the team will introduce, as the program plans to unveil road and alternate uniforms “in the coming months,” according to its Twitter account.
The new look features a blue stripe on each side that goes all the way down to the shorts. Additionally, the jersey reads “PENN STATE” across the front and has the player’s number on the front and back. The Penn State logo is on the shorts, and “PSU” reads across the waistline with a keystone design.
According to the video, the player’s name won’t be on the back of the jersey.
The Nittany Lions previously released updated uniforms before the 2016-17 season, but they still followed the same style the Nittany Lions had been wearing since 2011. This time around, the major change to the uniform appears to be the blue stripe on both sides, as well as the font of the numbers.
While Penn State has yet to announce its conference schedule, Micah Shrewsberry’s squad’s non-conference slate is set. The team opens its season with a home matchup against Winthrop on November 7.
