3 Dots In Running To Bring Outdoor Music Series To Downtown State College

3 Dots Downtown is in the running to bring a free outdoor music series to downtown State College starting in 2023, as it advanced to the “public voting phase” for an opportunity to receive a $90k multi-year grant.

The community space located at the corner of Pugh Street and Beaver Avenue hopes to qualify as one of the top 20 finalists in the voting of the Levitt AMP [Your City] Grant Awards.

3 Dots would plan for downtown State College’s Sidney Friedman Parklet to host the free music series, featuring national acts. The Borough of State College, Happy Valley Adventure Bureau, the Centre LGBTQA+ Support Network, and more all supported the proposal.

As it stands now, 3 Dots sits at No. 28 in voting. Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance, located in Harrisonburg, Virginia, is currently on top at No. 1.

Public voting ends at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21. The top 20 finalists will then have their proposals reviewed by the Levitt Foundation before up to 10 grant recipients are selected on November 15.

To cast a vote for 3 Dots, you can submit a form here or text “STATECOLLEGE” to 1-866-AMP-2023.
