Penn State-Northwestern To Kick Off At 3:30 P.M.

No. 14 Penn State football’s game against Northwestern will kick off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, the team announced Monday afternoon, according to the Big Ten football schedule.

The game will be Penn State’s second 3:30 kickoff and will be broadcasted on one of the ESPN networks.

Entering a weekend matchup with Central Michigan, the Nittany Lions are currently 3-0 and coming off a commanding 41-12 win over Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium. On the other hand, the Wildcats are 1-2 and will face Miami (Ohio) this Saturday in Evanston, Illinois.

The game will be the first meeting between the two teams since the Nittany Lions traveled to Evanston and took down the Wildcats 31-7 back in 2017. It will also be the first time Northwestern visits Happy Valley since 2014 when Penn State suffered a frustrating 29-6 loss in front of its home crowd.

Penn State’s game against Northwestern will be the program’s “All U-Day,” which will be dedicated to recognizing all Penn State campuses across the Commonwealth. The Nittany Lions will then head into their bye week before traveling to Ann Arbor to face Michigan on Saturday, October 15 in the Big House.
