Mark Zuckerberg Seemingly Grabs Lunch In State College

Who had “Mark Zuckerberg cameo” on their Central Michigan weekend bingo card?

It appears the CEO of Meta (the company formerly known as Facebook) flew into Happy Valley for a quick stop Friday afternoon.

Zuckerberg flew into either the University Park or Bellefonte airport around noon after taking off from Boston about 45 minutes prior, according to a Twitter account that tracks the activity of his private jet. He then took off around 4 p.m. en route to White Plains, New York.

According to an eyewitness account from an employee at The Tavern, he was spotted grabbing lunch at the aforementioned downtown staple. The Meta Public Relations team did not respond to an inquiry about the nature of his visit. It’s unclear who exactly Zuckerberg was eating with at The Tavern, which was overhauled and remodeled in 2021.

According to the “Zucc Jet” Twitter account, the CEO spent more than $5,500 in fuel for his round trip to Happy Valley. He must *really* like the Original Sin cocktail.
