Penn State Hoops Unveils New Road Uniform
Penn State men’s basketball unveiled its new road uniform Wednesday afternoon with a video posted to the team’s social media accounts.
In August, the team revealed its new home uniform in its first jersey update since 2016. Both announcements now come after a teaser video for the new threads was posted on Twitter in May.
The new away jersey features a different font for the “Penn State” emblazonment and the numbers. A white stripe runs down both sides of the uniform, tracking from below the arm to the end of the team’s shorts.
Penn State’s traditional athletic logo is on the shorts, while “PSU” is printed on the waistband on a keystone symbol — just as they are in the home uniforms.
The team’s video showed that, as usual, players’ names will not be on the back of their jerseys.
Alternate uniforms have still yet to be revealed, though the team did announce new ones would eventually be released alongside the updated home and away kits.
It’s been an offseason of changes for Penn State hoops. In addition to the team’s updates to its uniforms, the Bryce Jordan Center underwent a reseating process in June. Ahead of the season, the BJC revamped its seating for all season ticket sections and moved the Legion of Blue’s student section to the opposite side of the court.
Penn State hoops will launch its 2022 season at home against Winthrop on November 7. For more information about the season’s schedule and television broadcasts, check out our recap from September.
