Sisters On The Runway To Host Annual ‘Walk A Mile In Her Shoes’ Fundraiser October 19

Sisters On The Runway (SOTR) will hold its annual “Walk A Mile In Her Shoes” fundraiser on Wednesday, October 19.

The fundraiser aims to raise awareness for domestic violence by welcoming students to walk a mile through campus and downtown State College in high heels.

SOTR is a student-run organization committed to the prevention and raised awareness of domestic violence. The organization was founded in 2005 and has been working to increase awareness at Penn State since 2014 through various fundraising events.

Participants wearing heels will be asked to pay $7, while those not wearing heels pay $10. Participants can also purchase a $15 bundle, which covers the cost of registration and a t-shirt.

Those who wish to participate in the walk should sign up through this Google form.

Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. in the HUB, and the walk will begin at 6 p.m. Those participating in the walk should wear all black.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Centre Safe, a State College organization committed to raising awareness and fighting domestic violence.
