Centre County Leadership To Encourage Student Voter Registration October 23

With election day less than a month away, a handful of Centre County leaders will speak on the importance of civic engagement at 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 23, outside of the HUB at the Pollock Road entrance to encourage a final push for students to register to vote.

The last day to register to vote in Pennsylvania is Monday, October 24. You can register to vote here.

Speakers will include Centre County Commissioners Michael Pipe and Mark Higgins and State Representative candidate for the 82nd District Paul Takac.

“The upcoming midterm general election — 16 days from Sunday — marks the first election after the Dobbs decision came down in June,” Hilary Caldwell, Paul Takac’s campaign manager, said in a release. “The right to a safe and legal abortion is on the line, as well as other reproductive, voting, and election rights.”

To RSVP for the event or if you have questions, contact Caldwell at (814) 441-3410 or by email.

Additionally, PSU Votes is hosting a voter registration clinic from noon to 4 p.m. every day until the registration deadline at table No. 3 in the HUB.
