Penn State-Rutgers To Kick Off At 3:30 P.M. On The Big Ten Network

No. 14 Penn State football’s November 19 matchup with Rutgers will kick off at 3:30 p.m. from SHI Stadium, the team announced Sunday morning. The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

This will be the Nittany Lions’ fifth 3:30 p.m. kickoff of the year. It’s also the third week in a row after Penn State’s matchups with Indiana and Maryland took the mid-afternoon slot. Northwestern and Auburn were also slated for 3:30.

The Big Ten Network will broadcast the game, marking the Nittany Lions’ second appearance on the network for the 2022 campaign.

The teams most recently squared off in 2021, when Penn State won 28-0 at home. Dealing with the flu, the Nittany Lions were without 21 players as quarterback Christian Veilleux played significant time.

Rutgers has only beaten Penn State twice in the all-time series. The Scarlet Knights’ victories came in 1988 and 1918. The Nittany Lions’ win streak against the program currently sits at 15 games.

Penn State boasts an 8-2 record on the year after a 30-0 shutout of Maryland inside Beaver Stadium Saturday. Its only losses came against No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Michigan.

Rutgers began its season 3-0 but has since dropped six of its last seven contests. It defeated Indiana 24-17 in October.
