Offensive Tackle Liam Powers Commits To Penn State As Preferred Walk-On

Penn State has secured another recruit on the offensive line. Liam Powers has committed to the Nittany Lions’ Class of 2023 as a preferred walk-on, as he announced in a tweet on Monday.

Powers, a 6’3″, 280-pound offensive tackle, committed to Penn State just two days after receiving his official offer from James Franklin while on a visit. Powers had also garnered offers from Fordham and Temple after visits to each of those respective schools.

Powers is from Pennsylvania and plays high school football at Central Bucks East High School in Bucks County, which is about three and a half hours from State College.

After graduating this spring, Powers will head to Happy Valley as a part of Penn State’s 2023 recruiting class, which is currently ranked No. 14 in the nation, according to 247Sports. He’ll join a class that boasts standout offensive linemen Alex Birchmeier, J’ven Williams, and Anthony Donkoh.
