[Photo Story] Penn State vs. Michigan State
Time flies, folks.
Saturday’s victory over Michigan State marked the end of Penn State’s regular season. With heartfelt Senior Day recognitions, the reclaiming of the Land-Grant Trophy, and capturing their first 10-win season since 2019, the Nittany Lions put together a send-off to remember.
Our photographers journeyed back to State College to capture all that Beaver Stadium had to offer. Let’s take a look back at some of our favorite snapshots from the day.
On Penn State’s annual Senior Day, the Nittany Lions recognized their graduating seniors. Each senior ran out of the tunnel to embrace James Franklin and greet their families.
The Senior Day recognition didn’t stop there. After three years of anonymity, senior Michael McDermott unveiled himself as the Nittany Lion.
Penn State’s fumble recovery instincts were on point.
The tight ends were unstoppable. Theo Johnson had himself a day, hauling in two touchdowns, while Tyler Warren scored one of his own after recovering a fumble.
On the other side of the ball, the defense had a very productive day, headlined by true freshman linebacker Abdul Carter.
The most beautiful trophy in all of college football is back in Happy Valley. All is right in the world.
Thank you, seniors!
