Downtown State College To Host Holiday-Themed Events Throughout December

As the snow begins to fall and the jingle bells start to ring, downtown State College has something for everyone this holiday season.

With the holiday season now in full force, it’s time to get into the spirit with the handful of events happening in State College. Take a look below to learn more about this month’s upcoming festive events.

Downtown Holiday Market

The downtown farmer’s market is moving indoors for the rest of its season. The market will now be located in the State College Municipal Building lobby on South Allen Street. The market is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekly on Fridays throughout December.

Holiday Light Show

From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily, MLK Plaza will be home to a holiday light show for the remainder of the holiday season. Stop by Fraser Street to take in the lights.

First Friday

The final First Friday of the season is upon us. Stop by the MLK Plaza from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 2, to chat with Santa, enjoy a trolley ride, and sip some hot cocoa.

Free Holiday Trolley Rides

Who doesn’t love a trolley ride? Especially when it’s ~free~. For the next two weeks, folks can enjoy free trolley rides on Fridays and Saturdays during select hours. Pick up and drop off will take place at MLK Plaza on Fraser Street. More information on trolley ride hours can be found here.
