Report: Penn State Cornerback Jeffrey Davis Jr. Enters Transfer Portal

On the first day of the transfer portal window, Penn State football is reportedly losing a defensive back to the NCAA transfer portal.

According to The Athletic‘s Audrey Snyder, reserve cornerback Jeffrey Davis Jr. has entered the transfer portal.

The Bristol, Connecticut, native appeared in one game this season and didn’t register any stats. Davis is the second Nittany Lion from the Class of 2021 to enter the transfer portal this week after defensive lineman Rodney McGraw decided to enter the transfer portal Sunday morning. Three-star Class of 2021 quarterback Christian Veilleux announced his intent to enter the portal last week, too.

Davis committed to Penn State on April 17, 2020, as a three-star recruit and the No. 39-ranked corner in the country. Michigan and Tennessee were just two of 10 schools to make official offers to Davis before he decided to join Penn State.
