Class Of 2023 Offensive Tackle J’ven Williams Named Five-Star Recruit By 247Sports

The five stars are back, folks.

James Franklin’s top recruit for the Class of 2023, J’ven Williams, was given his fifth star by 247Sports. Williams is currently the only five-star recruit in the class after Franklin brought five-star recruits Drew Allar, Nick Singleton, and Dani Dennis-Sutton to Happy Valley in last year’s class.

Williams is listed as the No. 24-ranked recruit and the No. 4-ranked offensive tackle in the nation by 247Sports. He is also the top-ranked recruit in Pennsylvania, ahead of fellow Penn State commits Jameial Lyons and Ta’Mere Robinson, who are second and third in the state, respectively.

Williams committed to Penn State in February, choosing the Nittany Lions over the likes of Michigan, Michigan State, and USC. He plans to enroll early and spend the spring 2023 semester at Penn State while working with Franklin and his coaching staff.
